Nine Current and Former Indians Players to Compete at “Stevenson Showcase”

The Northwest Suburban Baseball Tournament has been conside the areas premiere recruiting event since it debuted in 1998. Over 100 colleges and universities attend the showcase each year, and another 20-25 professional scouts will be looking for 2012 draftees.

The Illinois Indians will be represented will at the event, with 9 current and former players representing 4 different conferences on the field.

Here are the players who will be in action:

Upstate Eight: Drew Bloomquist (Elgin)*

East Suburban Cathloic: Chris Iliopoulos (St. Pat’s), Charlie Jerger (Notre Dame)

Mid Suburban: Jake Monson (Buffalo Grove)*, Frank Waliczek (Barrington)*, Pat Bellinger (Schaumburg)

Central Suburban: Alex Hernandez (Maine West), Jimmy Frankos (Maine South)*, Patrick Aloisio (Maine South)*
